Frostforge Roadmap
Long-term campaign progression
Frostforge is designed as a long-term Warcraft lore campaign. The server begins in Classic Azeroth and expands step by step through The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.
Each phase focuses on turning dungeons and raids into structured story chapters instead of isolated content.
Phase 1 — Classic Dungeon Campaign
The first phase focuses on the original Classic dungeon journey. Players travel through Azeroth, following short lore bridges between major dungeons.
- Ragefire Chasm
- Deadmines / Wailing Caverns
- Shadowfang Keep
- Blackfathom Deeps
- Gnomeregan
- Scarlet Monastery
- Razorfen Downs
- Zul’Farrak
- Maraudon
- Uldaman
- Blackrock Depths
- Sunken Temple
- Scholomance
- Stratholme
- Lower and Upper Blackrock Spire
Current development focus: Classic Dungeon Campaign.
Phase 2 — Classic Raid Campaign
After the dungeon campaign, Frostforge moves into Classic raid storylines. Raid access will be introduced through shorter lore-focused bridge quests inspired by the original questlines.
- Molten Core
- Onyxia’s Lair
- Blackwing Lair
- Zul’Gurub
- Ahn’Qiraj
- Naxxramas
The goal is to make raids feel like the natural conclusion of the stories introduced through Classic dungeons.
Phase 3 — The Burning Crusade Dungeon Campaign
Once Classic progression is complete, the campaign continues beyond the Dark Portal.
The Burning Crusade dungeon campaign will focus on Outland’s fractured world, the Burning Legion, Illidan’s forces, ancient draenei history and the struggle for control over the shattered remains of Draenor.
- Hellfire Citadel dungeons
- Coilfang Reservoir dungeons
- Auchindoun dungeons
- Tempest Keep dungeons
- Caverns of Time chapters
- Magisters’ Terrace
Phase 4 — The Burning Crusade Raid Campaign
The Burning Crusade raid campaign will continue the Outland storyline into its major raid finales.
- Karazhan
- Gruul’s Lair
- Magtheridon’s Lair
- Serpentshrine Cavern
- The Eye
- Mount Hyjal
- Black Temple
- Sunwell Plateau
This phase will build toward Illidan, Kael’thas, Lady Vashj and the Burning Legion’s influence over Outland.
Phase 5 — Wrath of the Lich King Dungeon Campaign
The Wrath dungeon campaign brings the story to Northrend.
Players will follow the war against the Scourge through major Northrend dungeon chapters, while uncovering the deeper history of the Titans, dragons, the undead and Arthas himself.
- Utgarde Keep
- The Nexus
- Azjol-Nerub
- Ahn’kahet
- Drak’Tharon Keep
- The Violet Hold
- Gundrak
- Halls of Stone
- Halls of Lightning
- The Oculus
- Culling of Stratholme
- Trial of the Champion
- Forge of Souls
- Pit of Saron
- Halls of Reflection
Phase 6 — Wrath of the Lich King Raid Campaign
The final planned campaign phase leads toward Icecrown Citadel and the confrontation with the Lich King.
- Naxxramas
- The Eye of Eternity
- The Obsidian Sanctum
- Ulduar
- Trial of the Crusader
- Onyxia’s Lair
- Icecrown Citadel
- The Ruby Sanctum
Wrath is the natural endpoint of the first Frostforge saga: the rise, legacy and fall of the Lich King.
Design principle
Frostforge will not try to add everything at once.
Each phase should feel complete before the next one begins. The goal is a clear, playable campaign experience instead of a rushed content dump.
